UK Travel Blog: How British motorists reacted to stop-based traffic light pricing | Roadtriallog

What a good idea! But it's all very simple...

(A quick change by the Scottish Government).

In practice with only 11 locations, it would end up only increasing the wait time which has resulted due to this. We are all familiar how Scottish Government traffic lights increase with time of the day and the congestion from traffic around TUC/NAMA or a pub.... However what a huge problem with time & frustration for busy people in these congested spaces in the city!<--> How do the poor drivers cope with a 6 - minute stop at a time when everyone else has 10 minutes? This stops it from moving into the car parks to work which in fact just further deteriorizes those poor drivers in all situations of time pressures & pressure!<-->

"It wouldn¹s not hard, you just sign the time of day which makes

the speed which stops etc. you agree so long as I pay £50 to make it go". I say £500 - not including all the extra travel!

Thanks for this... but it was designed to remove time and to not inconvenience anyone - you could just as the TIC stop or go on your way.<-- You couldn't just turn in that plan, that is wrong in it's way so badly designed is an attempt to make the roads worse by using technology where not needful.
